Catholic Priest Accused of Assaulting 50-Year-Old Teacher at School

A Catholic priest, Reverend Fr. Jude Muokwe, is facing backlash after being accused of physically assaulting a 50-year-old teacher, Mrs. Ikeorah Maureen, at Angel's Primary School in Ifitedunu.

The incident occurred on February 12, 2025, during school hours when the priest allegedly flogged the teacher in her classroom.

According to sources, the priest had made a contract agreement with the teachers regarding lesson fees for the pupils. However, when the 50 years old widow raised questions about the agreement, specifically the deduction of lesson fees OMG.

This led to the teacher being physically assaulted by the priest. Trusted sources say the widow is from Umuanugwo village and a Primary 6 teacher at the school.

The incident has sparked outrage in the community, with many calling for the priest to be held accountable for his actions.
