Two Suspected Thieves Electrocuted in Bayelsa State
A tragic incident occurred in Bayelsa State, Nigeria, where two suspected thieves lost their lives while allegedly attempting to steal solar streetlights.
The bodies of the two individuals were discovered on Saturday morning, December 28, near the Niger Delta University and Ogobiri roundabout.
According to reports, the thieves had already dismantled four streetlight poles and were working on the fifth one when it fell onto high-tension wires, resulting in their electrocution.
The theft of streetlights is reportedly a common issue in the Ogobiri community, with residents likely relieved that the perpetrators were caught in the act.
