Zelensky insists that Ukraine will not compromise on its territory or people in exchange for peace.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, asserted resolutely that Ukraine will not treat its lands or citizens as pawns in negotiations for peace with Russia.

We are unwilling to present our territories as a potential bargaining chip. We refuse to barter people or lands for any proposals; our principles, our freedom, our democracy – we are steadfast in safeguarding these, articulated Zelenskyy in a conversation with Indian media during the weekend.

Zelenskyy also addressed the worldwide repercussions of Russia's warfare against Ukraine, cautioning that any attempt to rationalize the actions of Russian President Vladimir Putin could set a detrimental precedent globally concerning violations of territorial integrity.

He emphasized the significance of diplomatically isolating aggressors and emphasized the necessity for global leaders to present a unified front against such transgressions.

"While Ukraine continues to hold its ground, combating and speaking out against encroachments on sovereignty and territorial integrity, with the backing of the international community – the likelihood of other global crises diminishes," Zelenskyy articulated.

The President reaffirmed Ukraine's dedication to supporting nations striving for their independence. He underlined that this stance is underpinned by values and the significance of upholding the rights of each individual. Zelenskyy highlighted Putin's reluctance to halt the conflict as the primary barrier to achieving peace.

Simultaneously, Zelenskyy urged India to cease importing Russian oil, suggesting that this move would pose significant challenges for Russian leader Vladimir Putin thereafter.
